Hi! I'm Joelene, a motherhood, maternity and family photographer. My journey into photography began in high school where I studied photography as an elective. I later went onto university where I obtained a Bachelor of Education and a Master of Professional Accounting. Both careers did not satisfy my soul and it wasn't until I was pregnant with my first child that I bought my first DSLR camera and reignited my passion. I worked from my home in London at the time but it was mainly a hobby. I photographed families, pregnant women, fashion and eventually beauty where I was signed to an agency. I started to focus on beauty photography and completed many masterclasses as I was dedicated to my craft and had carved out a niche in the competitive world of beauty photography. My plans took a redirection as I became pregnant with my fourth child and decided to relocate back to my homeland, Australia. I am relocated on the Central Coast of NSW and decided to take a new direction based on the beautiful surroundings and all year round nicer weather. I found my love again for maternity, motherhood and family as it's been such a huge part of my own journey and I realize how precious these fleeting moments are. My beauty photography background fuels my creative vision as I like to create beauty in my images and make my mothers feel beautiful and to connect with the present moment. As a single mother I have carried every emotion and struggle alone but it has given me the strength and drive to not just survive but to thrive. I truly believe that everything we ever need is inside of us and it is my mission to bring out that inner beauty and divine energy that is inside all of us. Photography is my passion and it is what lights me up. This energy is what comes out in your session and it's where we can create magic together!
